Dr Collette was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She completed her undergraduate degree with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry from Campbellsville University in Kentucky. During her undergraduate career, was a competitive volleyball player, having played in the CIS, ACAC and NCAA. She then went on to complete her Doctorate of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

During her time in Florida, she conducted vision screenings for athletes of the Special Olympics at two annual states games in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Collette has a special interest in treating Ocular Disease, including but not limited to Dry Eye Syndrome, Glaucoma, Diabetic Eye Disease, etc. She has previously been working with an Ophthalmology group in Florida where she was able to gain experience from general Ophthalmologists as well as a Corneal Specialist. Upon graduation, Dr Collette was honoured to receive the Heine Award for Excellence in Optics as well as the Beaver-Visitec International Dry Eye Award. Dr. Collette is an active member in the College of Optometrist of Ontario, Optometrist Association of Ontario and the Eye See Eye Learn program.

Outside of the office, Dr. Collette enjoys spending time with her adorable pet children, a shiba inu Jax and black cat Zoe. She still is very active, taking in all the hiking around the Halton region. She is very happy to now call Ontario home and is thrilled to be practicing alongside such a great team providing top services to the surrounding community. She is also happy to provide services in both French and Spanish.
